PRESS RELEASE
The Best Pink Wines – Zosimo Wine Critic
Venice, 27 June 2026
A special day dedicated to Italy’s finest rosé wines will take place in Venice, in the beautiful setting of the Park Hotel Ai Pini, located at Via Miranese 176.
This year, international wine critic Zosimo has chosen to celebrate Italian rosé wines with a special edition of his ratings, devoted exclusively to the many shades and expressions of Italy’s pink wines.
“We decided to bring forward our ratings for this category by a few months, giving wineries greater visibility and ensuring that the results coincide with the season in which rosé wines are most widely enjoyed,” explains author and wine critic Carmelo Sgandurra, known as Zosimo.
This special edition has attracted an exceptionally high number of producers from across Italy, as well as the involvement of importers, distributors, wine merchants, restaurateurs and wine enthusiasts.
Today’s rosé wines offer a contemporary interpretation of wine, combining greater freshness, drinkability and pleasure. Above all, they give the recognition they deserve to native grape varieties, which are increasingly showing their finest qualities when vinified as rosé.
From Franciacorta and Piedmont to Puglia, Tuscany, Abruzzo and Campania, together with all the other Italian regions represented, each territory will showcase its distinctive qualities and finest expressions.
“I have been extremely selective,” Zosimo adds, “because I believe rosé wine deserves particular attention, a new approach to food pairing and stronger international promotion, supported by a fresh and more contemporary vocabulary.”
These topics will be explored during the morning conference, followed by the awards ceremony honouring the best wines and presenting the following special awards:
Best Rosé Wine 2026
Best Rosé Wine from a Native Grape Variety 2026
Best Traditional-Method Sparkling Rosé
Best Italian-Method Sparkling Rosé
Italian Wine Pink Label Award
In the afternoon, two masterclasses dedicated to Italy’s wine regions will give participants the opportunity to discover their different characteristics alongside the producers themselves.
Throughout the day, dedicated tasting tables will be set up in the garden of the Park Hotel Ai Pini.
