“Assìttati” is the white wine from Tenuta La Favola, where the skilled winemaker marries two quintessential Sicilian grapes, Grillo and Moscato, enhancing the intensity of Grillo (see the dedicated article on this native Sicilian grape).
The aroma is a true reflection of its land, hailing from the southernmost part of Sicily, where limestone soils are bathed in warm sunlight almost all year round.
The scent combines notes of limestone-clay soil with the fragrance of Mediterranean flowers, prominently jasmine, and a subtle hint of fresh grass that finishes with notes of wheat stalk.
On the palate, it is direct and balanced, delivering what the nose promised and amplifying it in intensity and persistence.
