100 Distinction – The Best Cellars 2026 by Zosimo Ratings is our annual celebration of excellence, created to showcase and promote producers at the highest level.
This year, we chose to bring this international event to magnificent Matera, one of Europe’s oldest cities and a masterpiece admired around the world. Despite the many organisational, structural and logistical challenges, we had the courage to pursue it – and we made it happen.
We have done all this to welcome delegations from around the world: Brazil, Argentina, France, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Romania, Armenia, Georgia and Korea – all currently confirmed.
It will be a great celebration, honouring only the very best.
I would like to emphasise that the 100 Distinction – The Best Cellars 2026 awards are unlike many others. They go beyond ratings, which, while valuable in highlighting products, can sometimes be unforgiving by placing committed producers in direct comparison.
Presenting the 100 Distinction – The Best Cellars 2026 means recognising far more than the wine itself. It celebrates production, purpose, future vision, ideals and the dreams that each of us works every day to bring to life.
I would like to thank the companies that believed in this project and joined it with enthusiasm, taking part with an exhibition stand at the beautiful Palazzo Malvinni Malvezzi in Piazza Duomo, which will host both days of the event.
I look forward to welcoming all those who will travel many miles by plane, train and road to join us for the awards ceremony, taking place on 23 October from 4:00 p.m. in the magnificent and elegant Salone degli Specchi at Palazzo Malvinni Malvezzi.
I am certain that this exclusive occasion in our beautiful Italy will be remembered as an extraordinary experience – one that will go down in our history for being truly unique and special.
